Cycling News

Sunday 24 July saw the end of Tour de France, where nearly 200 cyclists raced over 2,000 miles in just 23 days. Taking place in France, cyclists cycled through towns, cities and the countryside experiencing it all.
Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard, took victory after completing the huge challenge in 79hrs 33mins 20secs. Britains former winner, Geraint Thomas finished third overall.
Athletics

Friday 15 July to Sunday 24 July saw the World Athletics Championships take place in Eugene, Oregon. Great Britain and Northern Ireland achieved 7 medals, 1 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze.
28-year-old, Jake Wightman became a World Champion in the 1500m making him the first British man to win the World 1500m title since 1983!
