MOVE SOLO, STAY SAFE AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CHARITIES
We’re working hard with the local authorities to provide updates on the 2020 Hackney Moves festival. In the meantime, we’ve launched Hackney Moves For Heroes, a solo running challenge benefitting Homerton Hope, Hackney’s Homerton Hospital NHS trust and other charity partners impacted by COVID-19.
Please ensure that whilst taking part in the virtual challenge you continue to monitor and follow all government guidance regarding exercising outdoors and social distancing. Watch our social distancing guidance video, produced in partnership with Hackney Council.
You can complete the challenge any time. If parks and streets are too busy to run safely following current social distancing guidelines, then please wait for an alternative time to complete your challenge. For more information please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus
Entry to the Hackney Moves For Heroes solo running challenge is completely free of charge and open to all runners, regardless of whether they were originally registered for the Hackney Half or Hackney 5K. The challenge can be completed anywhere and you should therefore choose to run your 5K or half marathon route close to your own home.
Upon completion of the challenge, participants must upload their results by 5th June to be considered for prizes . All participants will get access to a printable bib, an exclusive digital goody bag, and a playlist curated by Hackney Half’s DJ G.
Sign up now for the ultimate solo running challenge. Registration closes 1st June 2020.
